Public Talk At The Braid Museum Ballymena
Linda Ballard will give a public talk atThe Braid Museum, Ballymena to launch the rites of passage workshops which will be taking place in the museum and in the local area with community groups. Linda will discuss interesting celebrations of marriage, births and deaths going back to the 1800s. The talk will explore Northern Ireland/Ireland’s heritage of celebration, including stories of mummers andbygone ‘lucky’ practises carried out by families before important life events. There will be an opportunity to share your personal experiences with a question and answer session at the end of the talk. (tea and coffee provided).
